Consultancy
is offered in a variety of different stages dependant on what is required
by our customers, from an over the phone conversation to discuss needs,
products, applications and to arrange site surveys. This includes explanations
and detailed information on the systems we install and how they work.
To sending company information including business cards and a company
brochure which outlines the work we carry out and a list of some of
the locations we have achieved high standard installations.
We
also carry out "site unseen" quotations on some of the smaller
installations for the purposes of creating a budget. This is also applicable
in areas such as reception counter induction loops and small meeting
room induction loops where a site survey may not be required due to
the size and costing of the job. These site unseen quotations do however
rely heavily on the client giving as much information as possible such
as dimensions of rooms, materials within the room (carpet type, false
ceilings etc.) and on new or refurbished builds time scales and completion
times for works.

Surveys |
|
Site
Surveys are carried out to determine everything we need to know prior
to an installation, and to allow us to provide the client with the best
quotation we can offer taking all outcomes into consideration. The site
surveys include taking accurate dimensions and drawings of buildings
and areas, talking to the client on a one to one basis to find out exactly
what they require, looking at all the applications that the system will
be required for and taking readings to check for magnetic noise which
could affect the installation of an induction loop.
Once
all these statistics have been taken into consideration then it is possible
for us to provide an accurate written quotation to the client to the
best of our knowledge of the buildings structure.

Design
& Specification |
|
Design
and Specification is part of the job we pride ourselves on. Using only
the best suppliers to provide the best equipment, we offer a standard
of sound quality that is hard to beat. What is the point of installing
any sort of sound system that doesn't sound good?
In
the design stage all things are taken into consideration from, where
equipment will be sited and how. This can be free standing, in existing
cabinets or cupboards, in moveable rackmounts or bolted to walls in
rackmounts for security purposes. To how cabling speakers, loop wiring
and other equipment can be "hidden" so it is out of site and
not obtrusive to the eye. We work closely with architects within buildings
especially older ones such as Churches and listed buildings to see how
we can have a minimal impact on the aesthetics of the building.
The
specification of the equipment is determined after the site survey has
been carried out so that the most suitable equipment can be offered
for the type of installation that is required. The suppliers we use
include Sennheiser, Shure, Audio Technica, Ampetronic, Gordon Morris,
TOA, Azden and Teacheasy who are all outstanding in their respective
fields of equipment and give final results of excellent sound quality.

Supply
of Equipment |
|
Supply
of Equipment can be carried out in two ways. The first being for equipment
that requires none, or minimal installation such as portable induction
loops, counter loops, tape recorders, CD players etc. These types of
equipment can be purchased on a supply only basis for the contractor
of a build or end user to install themselves, for obvious reasons our
involvement with the equipment ends once the client receives it in good
condition and any complications with operation and installation need
to be taken up with either the instruction manual or the manufacturer.
The
second is the supply of equipment that we have specified for a job which
we will be carrying out the installation of, this type of equipment
will normally be brought to site on the day of installation by ourselves.
On some occasions though the equipment may need to be shipped directly
to site prior to installation such occasions would be due to the equipment
being to large for us to transport.

Installation,
Testing and Commissioning |
|
Installation,
Testing and Commissioning is carried out by us to the highest standard
to reduce the risk of poor sound quality such as "dead spots",
future faults and obtrusive equipment sighting.
The
installation is carried out to give the minimal disruption to the client
as possible so quiet times for you are the best times for us to be installing
the equipment.
Testing
of equipment is done on completion of the installation by us to ensure
that all the equipment is working correctly and giving the required
standards needed.
This
just leaves the commissioning of the equipment which takes place in
the presence of the client or end user and includes a demonstration
and supply of any instruction manuals that are provided with the equipment.
During this stage any questions are answered and a follow up number
is provided for any future queries on the equipment or workings.
