ILD60

SPECIFICATION

ILD60 INDUCTION LOOP DRIVER

The ILD60 Induction Loop Driver has been designed by AMPETRONIC for use in specialised applications.

The ILD60 is intended for a medium-sized room, and provides the full facilities required for a professional installation in such environments as small offices, meeting rooms and TV rooms in nursing homes, sheltered housing etc.

While not providing the range of controls and inputs of our professional equipment, the ILD60 can be used very easily in small interview rooms, for both local hearing and control room talkback. In particular, the use of low cost unbalanced microphones reduces cost without any serious penalty.

The unit is designed to be used with a SINGLE TURN loop of convenient wire size. The unit is also equipped with an input for direct connection to modern TV SCART facilities in order to obtain very good quality TV sound, without being affected by room noises and volume for normal listeners.

The unit can satisfy all the requirements of EN60118–4 (IEC118–4), and satisfies all CE requirements for interference emission, immunity and safety.

NEW: ILD60DC

A purely DC powered version, operating on 12V is now available for mobile applications.

ILD122

SPECIFICATION

ILD122 INDUCTION LOOP DRIVER

The ILD122 Induction Loop Driver has been designed for a wide range of applications such as small churches, small conference rooms, meeting rooms, etc. The equipment maintains the traditional Ampetronic high quality vocal and music reproduction, while adding new features to improve performance and operational facilities.

The ILD122 has extensive monitoring and indication facilities. In addition to the LED metering of compression and loop current, the amplifier includes a loop checking feature that tests the loop for high or low resistance at power-up and indicates any fault. Overload and over-temperature conditions are also monitored and indicated on the front panel.

In common with all Ampetronic's induction loop drivers, the ILD122 uses constant-current drive, which is necessary to achieve full compliance with national and international loop system standards. The equipment has safeguards designed in to ensure that all current EMC and safety standards are complied with under all practical operating conditions.

An integral metal loss corrector provides compensation for the frequency dependant loss caused by metal in building construction.
Contact Ampetronic for more information about the effect on loop design and performance of metal in building construction.

ILD9

SPECIFICATION

ILD9 INDUCTION LOOP DRIVER

The Ampetronic ILD9 Induction Loop Driver is designed for a wide range of assistive listening applications where superior vocal and musical reproduction is paramount.

This Loop Driver sets the standard for constant-current drive in loop systems, providing a clean, high quality sound, with distortion levels well below those commonly associated with this type of equipment. The ILD9 is designed to be used with simple, single turn loops, offering ease of installation, combined with very small cable size to reduce visual impact. The single turn loop also allows a wide, flat frequency response to be reliably achieved.

A high performance Compressor (Automatic Gain Control), combined with wideband audio circuitry, maximises both music and speech reproduction for hearing aid users. While retaining the normal speech dynamics to maximise expression, the total dynamic range is reduced to a level more suitable for hearing aid users.

The system can also be used for many other applications, often in conjunction with separate loop receivers. These applications range from use in visitor guidance, to teaching, translation, overcoming noisy environments, etc.

LED monitoring of compression and loop current is provided on the front panel, with headphone monitoring of the loop current.

The ILD9 includes an innovative method to prevent generation of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), due to output clipping. This is essential for loop systems to comply with EMC regulations. Patents for this method have been granted in a number of countries.

The equipment is very easy to install and is robust and very reliable, having a long service record in a wide variety of locations.

The pictures below are the rear panel of the ILD9 which shows the connections on the left and right hand sides of the amplifier
